Fire and Rain

Cardwell, FNQ.

"Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain..."

High falling rain explodes into a fiery sunrise light over Hinchinbrook Island, off the Far North Queensland Coast at Cardwell.

Cardwell is one of the few places where the Pacific Coast Route meets the water in Queensland and it's a popular spot for travellers to take a 'Driver Reviver' between Townsville and Cairns.

Don't let this idyllic view fool you though. Cardwell's local water residents are not at all friendly and it is highly recommended that you enjoy this beautiful view from the safety of the council pathway. - Cheers, Russ.
