Almost 100,000 vehicles cross the Story Bridge every day, and with each, the cadent clunk of tyres passing over each expansion joint brings the bridge alive.
For many, including myself, it's a means of getting from A to B - but at least being on a push bike it's given me a chance to appreciate the views (and perhaps not so much the common prevailing headwind). Even on this particular afternoon I would've found myself riding back over the Story Bridge en route back home... but knowing that I'd just been able to capture a special sunset and slightly "lesser captured" view of this iconic bridge that makes Brisbane what it is. - Bernie
