A beautiful waterfall and gorge located in the Gold Coast Hinterland is a favourite, yet secretive location with local photographers, thanks to its heart-shaped rock lagoon at the base of the falls.
I always like to try something different however, so here I have concentrated on the water's path, prior to it disappearing into the darkness of the heart lagoon below.
This site has a long and public history, as the owners battled the Military and successive Governments to maintain public access to the falls and their surrounds.
Currently, the situation is yet to be fully resolved and the original owner's son maintains an undying vigilance over the site. It is his strong belief, that this site must be made known and must continue to be utilised by the public for recreational purposes… including photography, as only photographs can display the beauty of this area to those yet to visit.
It is his hope, that with awareness, a concerned public will be willing to rise to protect this area should efforts be made to restrict access once more. - Cheers Russell
