Aoraki

Mt. Cook, New Zealand

The last of the day's light rests on New Zealand's highest peak.

Aoraki/Mt Cook stands at 3,724 metres (12,218 feet) but prior to a rockslide at the peak in December 1991, stood at 3,764 m (12,349 ft). While it would have been an impressive event to witness, I do hope that nobody was attempting an ascent at the time. - Cheers, Rusty.
