Fractured Earth

South Island, New Zealand.

New Zealand is an amazing country with so many different landscapes. Sweeping plains, rolling hills, massive mountains... New Zealand has it all.

But as impressive as the landscape is, I must say that I was most intrigued by these earth fractures that can be found in both North & South Islands.

This particular fracture literally just cuts a path in the side of a mountain and is no more than 10m from our parked car. Incredible!

Other earth fractures that we saw were over 100m deep and unless we looked down as we crossed these tiny little road bridges, we wouldn't have even known that they were there.

I can't wait to go back and explore this amazing country more. - Russell
