Strong winds and stormy tempestuous conditions lashed my car overnight. The gusts, coupled with the stark darkness of the night outside made for an eerie experience -- at least I had the luxury of sleeping inside my car and not out in the elements like on other occasions.
I'd been planning to shoot away from sunrise, down on Gibson's beach, towards the crazy pillars that comprise the 12 Apostles. But the sea spray down on the beach was just too much and at last minute I'd decided to try for the lookout itself, shooting back towards sunrise. At least it had stopped raining enough for me to not pull the pin completely and retreat!
Although I was not expecting any results from the morning, and perhaps a little annoyed that I'd not been able to capture the shot I came for, I'm still pretty stoked to have been able to grab this funky long exposure. -- Bernie
